FROM THE STUDIO / VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA03 / THE HUMAN BEHIND THE ALIENS
I started making Xenopets because I’ve always loved strange things. I’m a huge sci-fi fan, and I wanted to make creatures that don’t always make sense. Little things that make you smile, look twice, and wonder what their story might be.
I design, sculpt, 3D print and hand-paint each Xenopet here in Victoria, Australia.
When you choose one, you support the artist behind it.

YOUR COMPANION / DELIVERY & SUPPORT

Elsewhere Oddities · Victoria, Australia.
For order help and return instructions, email Elsewhereoddities@gmail.com. We reply within 1–2 business days. Please contact us before sending an item back; we will provide the appropriate postal address if a return is needed.
Ready-to-ship Xenopets are A$18 each and dispatch within 1–2 business days. Custom paint on an existing Xenopet is A$23, including the A$5 surcharge, and takes 1–5 business days before shipping.
These are dispatch and painting timeframes, not delivery estimates. New models and sculptures are quoted individually with a timeframe agreed for the project.
We currently ship within Australia. Shipping and packaging are calculated in your basket and shown before payment. Orders are securely boxed, with packaging selected to suit their size and quantity. Orders containing custom-painted pieces ship together once painting is complete.
Every Xenopet includes a laminated adoption certificate. Keep the physical figure away from water to protect its paint.
I want you to enjoy your new companion. If something isn’t right or your plans change, please get in touch. I’ll listen and work with you towards a fair outcome.
We don’t offer automatic returns or exchanges for change of mind, including custom-painted pieces. You’re welcome to contact us about your circumstances. Any goodwill exception is considered individually, and we’ll agree on the return condition, postage costs and refund or exchange before you send anything back.
You can cancel a ready-to-ship order for a full refund if we receive your request before dispatch. Custom-paint orders can be cancelled for a full refund if we receive your request before painting begins. Email us as soon as possible; the time your request arrives counts, even if our reply comes later.
Once dispatch or painting has begun, change-of-mind cancellations aren’t guaranteed, but please contact us to discuss what’s possible. New model and sculpture commissions have cancellation terms agreed in their individual quote. None of these terms limit your consumer rights.
Hand-painted pieces can have small variations in colour and finish. They should still match their description and any agreed custom details. If a difference concerns you, please let us know.
Email Elsewhereoddities@gmail.com with your order number or other proof of purchase and a description of the issue. Please include photos where possible, including the packaging if the item arrived damaged. We reply within 1–2 business days.
We may need to assess the item before confirming a solution. Please contact us before posting it back so we can arrange the next step and provide a return address. If a return is needed for a confirmed fault, transit damage or an incorrect item, we’ll cover reasonable return postage. Keep any postage receipt.
There is no fixed reporting deadline in this policy that takes away your Australian Consumer Law rights. Letting us know promptly helps us resolve the issue.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. These protections apply to ready-to-ship and custom orders alike.
For a major failure, you can choose a refund or replacement. For a minor problem, we can generally arrange a free repair within a reasonable time. If it cannot be fixed within a reasonable time, further rights to a refund, replacement or other remedy may apply. You may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method unless we agree otherwise. Goodwill exceptions are separate from these legal rights, which do not depend on our discretion.
About consumer guarantees ↗ELSEWHERE ODDITIES / YOUR INFORMATION
How we handle website enquiries, orders and Square payments.
The enquiry tools prepare an email draft using the name, email address, message and optional reference link you enter. Preparing a draft does not send it or save it to a website database. You choose whether to send it through your email app.
If you send an enquiry, Elsewhere Oddities receives those details in its Gmail inbox so the artist can respond. Add only the information and references needed for your request.
Maker interest is for enquiries about the planned licence launch. It does not subscribe you to general marketing or grant permission to sell designs.
For questions about your information or to withdraw maker interest, email Elsewhereoddities@gmail.com. Replies take 1–2 business days.
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the site. It also loads fonts from Google Fonts. Links to social media, maps and email services open those services, which have their own privacy practices.
The basket keeps your selected items, paint instructions and checkout reference in this browser tab for the current session. Avoid putting sensitive information in paint instructions. When you continue to Square, your order details are sent to Square. We collect your recipient name, email, delivery address and optional phone number before payment and send these details to Square with your order. The delivery form is not saved in your browser storage. Square collects payment information on its own checkout page; card details are not entered on or stored by this website. Elsewhere Oddities uses order and delivery details to prepare and send purchases, answer enquiries and handle after-sales support. Delivery details are shared with the postal service when an order is shipped. Records are retained as needed for orders, customer support and applicable record-keeping obligations. You can email us to request access, correction or deletion; some transaction records may need to be retained. Service providers may process information outside Australia.

FROM THE ADOPTION RECORD / FICTIONAL LORE
A stern stare means he feels safe. Never ask him to smile. Glump prefers soft moss, light misting and a quiet corner.
One physical, hand-painted Glump figure and its laminated adoption certificate. Display scenery and backgrounds in the photos are not included. Each piece is individually painted.
Keep away from water to avoid damaging the paint. Clean gently with a soft, dry brush. Handle delicate features carefully. Feeding, bathing and habitat notes on the certificate are fictional character lore, not care instructions.
Every Xenopet includes a laminated adoption certificate with its registry profile and character details. Use the certificate thumbnail to read it at full size.
